FAQ

Got questions? We’ve gathered the essentials to help you sip with confidence.

What is fruit wine?

Fruit wine is a type of alcoholic beverage made primarily from 100% juice from fruit and fermented with yeast. The process is carefully controlled to limit the alcohol content, often by stopping fermentation early or using lower-sugar juice. Some versions may also be lightly carbonated for a sparkling effect. Unlike grape wines, it uses the natural sugars and flavours of the fruit to produce a unique, refreshing, delicate wine.

What does “Low- Alcohol”mean in wine?

Low alcohol typically means the wine has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of around 4% to 8%, compared to traditional wines, which usually range from 12% to 15% ABV. These wines are lighter, more refreshing, and easier to drink, especially in warm weather or social settings.

What does “Non-Alcohol” and “Alcohol Free” mean in wine?

Typically means the wine has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of less than <0.5%. They are made like the regular wine, then the alcohol is removed using techniques like vacuum distillation or reverse osmosis. These wines provide a wine experience (flavour, aroma, mouthfeel) without the alcohol.

Is orange wine the same as “orange wine” made from white grapes?

No. The term “orange wine” also refers to a style of white grape wine that is fermented with the skins, giving it an orange hue. Fruit-based orange wine is made from oranges, not grapes, and is an entirely different product.

How should I serve fruit wine?

Chill it before serving — ideally at 5-8°C (43–50°F). It’s best enjoyed cold, either straight, over ice, or as part of a cocktail or spritzer.

What foods pair well with low alcohol orange wine?

Fruit wines typically last 3–4 days once opened, similar to grape wines. Refrigeration can extend their freshness. Fortified wines, with higher alcohol content, can last several weeks when stored in the fridge. All our wines pair well with:

• Light salads

• Spicy dishes

• Grilled seafood

• Cheeses (especially soft or creamy ones)

• Desserts with citrus or vanilla flavours

How long does an opened bottle last?

Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 3–5 days for the best taste. Using a wine stopper can help preserve its freshness. For sparkling, best to consume in 24 hours.
